§ 4.12.090. Replacement.

    An installed backflow prevention assembly that does not presently meet the previously mentioned standards or other requirements of Section 4.12.070 of this chapter, but was designated as a suitable approved assembly for the purposes described in this chapter at the time of installation and has been properly maintained may, except for the inspection and maintenance requirements under Section 4.12.080 of this chapter, be excluded from the requirement of this chapter so long as the District is assured that it will satisfactorily protect the District's system.

    B.

    Whenever an existing assembly is to be moved from its present location, or when it requires more than minimum maintenance, or when the District finds that the improper maintenance of the assembly constitutes a hazard to health, the assembly shall be replaced by the owner with a backflow prevention assembly meeting the requirements of this chapter.
